The Role
We need someone who can lead a group of talented engineers in a fast-moving, extremely focused product team, where you will be able to take charge of large and impactful projects.
Sometimes the solution requires our EMs to roll up their sleeves and dive into the code. Other times, it requires critical prioritization: there are a thousand things to do every day, but you can only choose ten— prioritization will determine success.
Fixing the airline industry is a big job, and we work long hours. This is an entrepreneurial environment with lots of ambiguity and heavy lifting. But we are committed to each other and to our mission of removing friction for travelers.
The engineers you manage are talented, mission-driven, and low ego. They are looking for a leader who can coach them and help them grow, and one who embodies our values (freedom, impact, extreme ownership). If that’s you, let’s chat!
About Gordian
At Gordian, our mission is to create software that removes all friction from the traveler’s experience when planning air travel and flying. We started on an unsolved problem: empower travel sites to upsell seat selection, baggage, and other upgrades. We’ve signed huge customers like Priceline, Hopper, and Trip.com to our unique API. But we are just getting started.
Our traction speaks for itself. With ~30 people, we have annualized revenue of over $13m, backing from investors including Y Combinator, the ex-CEO of Skyscanner, and the founders of Plaid, and our rapid growth is accelerating.
We move fast, have a high-impact culture, and work in a great remote + travel environment. Get to know our culture and values here.

Remote + Travel
We have a unique system for remote work called 7+1. Read about it here. Our remote teammates travel to Bellevue, WA for a full week once every two months. We think it combines the best of remote and in-person environments and it requires everyone not working from Bellevue to travel 6x per year.
