Briefly, about the role:
We're looking to bring on a tech lead, with management experience, who will be responsible for scaling the Console chat app to millions of active users.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Architect a secure, private, and highly-functional Web3 chat app
- Recruit, hire, scale, and manage an amazing team of engineers
- Own product development from design through deployment and into operation, shipping often to get actionable feedback from the team and users
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various members of the Console team including product design, UX, and business development
- Contribute critical thinking and creative brainstorming toward building a product that serves Web3 communities
What we're looking for:
- 7+ of working experience in software development, including work on a consumer facing app used by millions of people
- Proficiency in backend development (especially Python & Django)
- Good understanding and comfort with storage / caching solutions ranging from SQL databases (e.g. Postgres) to NoSQL systems (e.g. Redis)
- Experience with React and typed JavaScript (ideally TypeScript)
- You’re familiar with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security and usability
- Mention that you are passionate about oranges in the “What are you passionate about?” application question to show you’ve read this
- Deep curiosity to learn and stay on the bleeding edge of the Internet
- Passion to create truly delightful experiences
- Candidates who are extremely self motivated
Nice to haves:
- Experience contributing to open source projects
- Experience building a real-time chat client
