Summary
We’re looking to hire a senior full-time software developer with substantial front-end and back-end experience (bonus points for experience with both web and mobile apps) to take charge of our user-facing software and its connections to the software that controls our robot restaurant. This will include both the touchscreen ordering, check-in, and pickup apps that live on-location at our robot restaurant as well as our web and (eventually) mobile apps for online ordering, loyalty rewards, etc.
You’ll be working with a team of one senior and one junior full-stack developer on the engineering side of things and a well-known UX agency on the design side of things. The UX agency is local; the developers are both part-time and remote but are both periodically in the Bay Area.
We’re still early in the process of designing and building our ordering and pickup apps so you’ll be helping us decide what to build, not just how to build it. We’ll be counting on you to help us design our software in a way that lays a strong foundation for future developers to build on top of.
Our ideal candidate would have experience with the following:
- TypeScript
- React
- CSS, including animations and transitions
- Responsive design
- Automated testing
- NodeJS
- GraphQL
- Writing secure applications
- AWS/infra experience
Nice-to-have skills include:
- Accessibility
- Real-time app experience
- Kiosk/touchscreen app experience
Job details:
As a food robotics company, we have an in-person-first culture, so you’ll be in-person as well. You’ll be spending 2-4 days a week at our office in the Bay Area (San Mateo, CA), and 1-3 days a week working from home, depending on your preference. We’re offering substantial equity on top of salary and benefits.
