Escape is an API Security Company. APIs are the cornerstone of data exchanges on the Internet and the ideal entry point for hackers. Escape develops a unique Artificial Intelligence that allows organizations to find and fix security issues in APIs before it's too late. Thousands of developers of major organizations such as Société Générale, Neo4J and Sorare already use its SaaS platform.
Founded in 2020, it has successfully positioned itself as one of the most promising European cybersecurity start-ups winning the Grand Défi Cyber Prize delivered by the French Government and the ANSSI. In 2023, the start-up joined the Y Combinator accelerator, which fostered its entry into the international competition game as a major security provider.
The founders graduated from Polytechnique & HEC (CTO) and ENSTA & HEC (CEO). Both finished their studies in the United States at UC Berkeley. Missions
We seek a highly-skilled Intern or Apprentice Full Stack Engineer to join our team in Paris. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling web applications that meet our client's needs. You will be joining a team of 8 engineers, reporting directly to the CTO, to identify and solve complex problems and ensure our code and infrastructure is of the highest quality.
Responsibilities
Frontend:
- You will develop high-performance UIs with Svelte, prioritizing user experience.
- You will utilize GraphQL for efficient data loading and responsive application.
- You will collaborate on product decisions with CTO, CEO, and Lead Designer
Backend:
- You will build and optimize GraphQL APIs for scalability, leveraging Pothos and Prisma
- You will use PostgreSQL to create efficient, secure databases.
- You will maintain event-based distributed systems (RabitMQ/Kafka) for performance.
Qualifications
Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks, specifically Svelte.js or Vue.js.
- Proficiency in backend development using Node.js and GraphQL.
- Experience with event-based architectures, such as RabbitMQ and Kafka.
Skills:
- Fluent in both French and English.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Rapid learner, able to quickly adapt to new technologies and environments.
