Clear was started by a team of Physicists and Computer Scientists from MIT and Imperial College London in January 2021, and went through Y Combinator (the same program that Airbnb, Stripe, Doordash, and many other leading tech startups have gone through).
Clear is a free iOS and Android mobile app which combines skincare routine tracking with social media - like Strava, but for skincare. Users track the skincare products they use, take progress pictures, and share their routines with their friends, dermatologists or favourite skinfluencers. We partner with skincare brands and retailers, including the likes of L’Oréal, to provide data insights on product usage.
Job Description
We currently have a lead full-stack developer who manages product development, another full-stack developer, a front-end developer and a UX designer.
We’re looking for a full-stack developer to join our team.
Projects you’ll be working on include:
- Improving user experience of mobile app (React Native)
- Backend tasks (Rust and PostgreSQL)
- Data analysis and content management (Python and PostgreSQL)
- Updating website (mostly HTML and CSS work)
We don't expect candidates to have experience in all the technologies involved but would like to see web development experience and desire to learn new tech stacks. We are also interested in seeing your open source code, contributions and projects.
Location
We’re fully remote (no desired time zones) and communicate in English only. The team is currently spread across Canada, UK, Singapore, Korea and Australia.
