We’re looking for a motivated frontend engineer who will help drive the look & feel for our docs, website, and product. This is a great role for a talented frontend developer looking to build the core UI/UX for a fast-growing, open-source startup.
Note: This is a contract-to-hire position, with options for flexible working hours, including part-time.
We use Tailwind CSS to unify the look and feel of our website, docs, and product. The ideal candidate will have experience with Tailwind CSS in order to hit the ground running. If you're not a Tailwind expert, that's ok! We value motivation to learn quickly and craft quality UIs above all else.
Responsibilities include:
- Translate Balsamiq Wireframes and Figma design files into Tailwind-powered clean HTML & CSS
- Work with other full-stack engineers to build Phoenix Liveview Components for our main product
- Integrate Tailwind-powered frameworks such as https://flowbite.com into our main docs and website
Here are the key features that make this role unique:
- Design is core to security: Firezone keeps networks secure. Misconfigured security products are a common cause of security breaches, so your ability to craft an experience will be critical to why customers choose our product.
- All of your work will be open-source at our main repo: https://github.com/firezone/firezone
- Opportunity to collaborate with other open-source developers from around the world
- Stipend to spend on learning resources (books, e-courses, etc)
