We are looking for an exceptional Founding Software Engineer with a passion for healthcare innovation and a drive to make a monumental impact on the way biotech companies conduct clinical trials — all while working in an exciting, fast-paced environment that values experimentation and iteration. As a key member of our close-knit team, you will shape the core functionality of our platform, contribute to the long-term technical vision, and foster seamless integration with biotech data sources. Responsibilities
- Partner with our technical CEO to refine the product roadmap, set priorities, and establish the technical direction for continued innovation.
- Improve and maintain the core infrastructure of the Miracle platform, ensuring seamless integration with diverse data sources from biotech/pharmaceutical company software tools.
- Engage with customers to deeply understand their pain points from an end user perspective, provide above and beyond support (this is how we learn their needs), and deliver features that provide value for our customers.
- Mentor and lead future hires as the engineering team expands while cultivating an inclusive and collaborative team culture.
- Participate actively in product and technical discussions, offering strategic insights to shape the company's growth and direction.
Requirements
- Industry experience in a software engineering role preferred. Ideally in healthcare or a related field.
- Proficiency in full-stack technologies, such as Python, JavaScript, HTML, Node.js, and databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL). Familiarity with ML packages on Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (i.e. AWS, GCP, Azure) – AWS is preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a talent for working effectively both independently and within a team dynamic.
- Ability to adapt to new requirements and changes. As one of the first employees, there is no typical “day-to-day,” and you may need to constantly learn, experiment, and iterate.
- We'd like for our Founding Engineer to be based in the San Francisco.
