In building a devtool, your developer background naturally blends into product/design/go to market, so bonus points if you’re an all-rounder. We’ve got a lot on our roadmap, from deployment infra to analytics dashboards, and we’re on a mission to reach $1 million ARR this year.

✨ Where you can shine
As a founding engineer, you’ll have a large stake and responsibility in what we build next. We’re not just filling shoes - we’re looking for someone who brings a strong perspective and can influence what Mintlify will become.
Some things you will do:
- Build from 0 to 1. Brainstorm, design, and code—solving problems that span multiple domains. Some product ideas on the map: customer-facing analytics dashboard, scalable infrastructure to support thousands of customers, integrating with third party providers, etc.
- Refine current product: building new functionality, refactoring, and improving usability and performance. For example, improving our onboarding flow, redesigning user-facing components, decreasing deployment time
What we’re looking for:
- You learn fast and move faster in ambiguity - tackling difficult problems collaboratively and breaking them down iteratively is second nature
- You have experience working in a startup environment - you know how to ship early and ship often while maintaining quality
- Experienced with REST APIs, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.
- Bonus: You've worked on dev-tools and are involved in developer communities
