We are looking for a data scientist to build data science and machine learning solutions for our clients’ complex and real-world problems. You will work directly with the founders, engineering team, and a set of economist advisors.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deploy machine learning models in the economics space
- Design experiment design and analysis
- Work with the backend team to make data science insights available via internal APIs
- Collaborate with the founders to define and prioritize features on our product roadmap
- Manage and maintain databases and servers
- Maintain technical documentation for the codebase
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with ML lifecycle from R&D to model deployment
- Experience with exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis and testing, and model development
- Experience with experimental design and analysis
- Ability to extract data with SQL queries and Python
- Excitement to work in-person with the founders in SF 5 days/week
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D., M.S. or Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or other quantitative fields.
- 1+ years experience (if M.S. or P.H.D), 3+ years industry experience (if Bachelor’s degree)
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
- Experience with causal inference models is a bonus
