Engineering at Haven

As an Engineering Leader at Haven, you will play an instrumental role in all aspects of our growth and scale. You will be responsible for the technical alignment, project coordination, and technical execution within Haven that aligns with our organization’s mission and business goals. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about industry technology, operational excellence, and building a strong team culture. You’re at your best when contributing to a team and are always ready to dive deep into creative and analytical thinking to solve problems and transform customer challenges into opportunities. You should have comprehensive project management knowledge and demonstrate a high level of diligence, motivation and organizational skills while creating + contributing to standards around which the team will operate.

The role is remote with a highly flexible, US-based, work schedule. Our current stack leverages AWS, Django, Postgres, GraphQL, and React among other technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and continue growing a distributed team of engineers across our marketplace network, homeowner engagement, and platform infrastructure squads.
• Create and manage a technical vision & roadmap for Haven that aligns and balances across our product roadmap, data needs, and integration requirements with a strategic path to scale over time.
• Assist in driving customer adoption and partner integrations by evaluating current technologies in financial marketplaces and mortgage servicing to inform and better evangelize our technology solution.
• Provide guidance and mentorship across Haven with hands-on experience in back-end and front-end development and your interest or background in developing solutions for the homeowner journey
• Manage and maintain our information security and compliance strategy to ensure that Haven is always doing the most it can to ensure safety and security for our customers and homeowners.
• Gather, summarize and leverage relevant team + customer data to suggest improvements in tools, processes and techniques to help scale the team and act on opportunities for improvement
• Leverage your working knowledge of delivery and releases to client-enterprises to provide support in escalation situations, performance, and general team coordination
• Oversee successful onboarding / development and the proper ramping of skills, capabilities and role expectations for both new and existing team members
• Assist recruiting efforts to find and hire top talent to continue building out the engineering role / function
