Reports Into: Growth Manager
Compensation: $50k - $55k starting salary (negotiable depending on experience) and significant equity. We would love to have an open discussion with you and we are more than happy to discuss further and look after every situation on a case by case basis depending on experience and interview performance.
Location: NY or DMV.

The Role
We are looking for a passionate, creative and tenacious East African Community Lead to join the team as our first hire in the US. You will be working extremely closely with our current UK Community Team, the Growth Manager and CEO to connect with the diaspora communities across the US. On top of managing meaningful relationships with communities leaders, you will will also be recruiting and leading a team of community and student ambassadors to share NALA's story and benefits. Community work is at the heart of what we do at NALA and this role will be at the heart of it all.
In the first 6 months, we would love for you to:
- Coordinate US community strategy with wider team
- Manage ambassador groups (including onboarding, training, motivating the team)
- Be an ambassador yourself! You will be a role model of how it is done that others will look up to
