About the role

DX Engineer is a team member focused on making our product be loved by the end users of Vue Storefront – Developers Community. This is a great opportunity for ones that have a vast experience in contribution to Open Source frontend projects and understands of how great developer-oriented products (such as JavaScript frameworks and libraries) are built.

In this role you will have direct impact on how Vue Storefront is being built and then used by +10.000 of developers across the world and present in the Open Source community.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Collaborating with key stakeholders (Product Manager, Engineering Manager) during Design & Analysis phase to define DX-oriented features and requirements.
• Working on a daily-basis with the team for knowledge sharing of best practices and standards in Developer Experience area. 
• Collaborating on architecture and code API decisions that impact the way that end developers interact with Vue Storefront product.
• Taking part in Code Review process to assure that software we produce meets highest DX standards.
• Conducting Acceptance Testing from the Developer perspective to ensure that features we build are nice to work with.
• Taking ownership of the documentation for a team - being responsible for determining what docs need to be written and ensuring that they get written (creating the best in-class documentation of new product features),
• Being first point of contact between Product Team and Customer Success/Community Teams to internally share knowledge of how our product should be used and constantly gather feedback.
• Engaging on Discord & Github discussions to directly collect and then analyze feedback from the developers.

What do we expect you to have?

• 4+ years of experience as a Frontend Developer (React or Vue)
• Experience in contribution to Open Source frontend projects (confirmed by Github contributions)
• Great understanding of frontend community ecosystem, frameworks and libraries
• Vast knowledge and experience of clean code principles, upgradeability and maintainability aspects of the produced software
• Great technical-writing skills to create documentation that will be easily understandable and loved by the community
• Outstanding communication skills
• English B2/C1
