Key responsibilities
- Works closely with engineer team and product owners to understand the domain, data structure, and data generation process.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to understand the business data requirement such as user insights, customer journeys, business metrics; perform corresponding analysis to develop reports and dashboards using BI tools.
- Work closely with data engineers to design, build and operate data platform that includes but not limited to data sources, data ingestion, ETL/ELT, data warehouse, data marts, and data services such as customer 360, scorings, data APIs.
- Analyze data for trends and patterns to support business strategic planning.
- Perform data audit to identify the cause of mismatched data between systems.
- Contribute to the solution of various data migration projects, especially data validation.
- Coach business users to get familiar with self-service reports and dashboards.
Key qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Analysis, Computer Science, or similar majors.
- Expert in SQL is a must, experience with one of the programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience with data cleansing, data transformation, data quality assessment, and statistical analytics.
- Proficient in using tools such as data visualization & reporting (e.g Power BI, Amazon QuickSight, Google Data Studio), data warehouse (AWS RedShift, Google BigQuery).
- Familiar with dimensional data modeling, data warehouse and data marts design.
- Have knowledge and able to apply AI & Machine Learning is a plus.
