In this role, you will:
- Make key product decisions in collaboration with CEO (Head of Product) to make forward-looking technical decisions based on current business needs
- Have the ability to see the forest from the trees - balance pragmatic business needs with technical tradeoffs
- Partner with our CEO, PM and Designer to define key upcoming projects for execution
- Jump into the code (challenging problems) across the team to ensure support on complex scenarios and high-quality output
- Own engineering roadmap and execution
- Create a strong engineering culture and practice
- Put great engineering processes and tooling in place (e.g. code reviews, testing, deployment process, development environments, etc.)
- Work closely with the product team to understand product priorities and roadmap
- Build a performance management framework for a high-performance team, driving personal growth & business goals forward
What You Will Bring:
- Minimum of 5+ years of software development experience at high-growth startups
- Minimum of 3+ years leading and/or managing engineering teams
- Ideally, staff-level engineering & architecture experience, especially with our stack (Node, Typescript, React, GraphQL, Postgres, GCP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
- Built complex interaction-heavy products and features

The salary range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $200,000-$220,000.
