We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will collaborate with our Engineering and Product teams to build healthy functional systems that improve customer experience and give our Customers a good night's sleep.
Job Responsibilities
- Build appropriate monitoring tools around the available metrics to ensure smooth operations of infrastructure and applications
- Identify production issues, resolve them, document and come up with innovative ideas to prevent their recurrence
- Build, deploy and manage infrastructure and business applications on AWS Cloud platform
- Understand the needs of stakeholders and ability to translate technical jargons into plaintext definitions and vice-versa
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Developers to build tools and simplify operations overhead
- Follow, Ideate, and/or implement best DevOps practices* Be able to multi-task and context-switch as necessary
Requirements
- 4+ years of AWS Cloud experience (RDS/MySQL, ECS, CloudWatch, Datadog, MSK/Kafka, OpenSearch)
- OS Fundamentals, Distributed systems, Containers
- CI/CD Practices - Jenkins or any similar tools (ArgoCD/Octopus)
- IaaC tools - Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt
- Scripting languages - Python, Javascript (optional), Shell/Bash
- Monitoring Tools - DataDog, Kibana, Grafana
- Observability Practices - Metrics, Logging, Alerts, Tracing and Performance Tuning* Cloud Security / DevSecOps Practices
- And most of all - an attitude to enjoy what you do and share what you learn!* Containerisation Tools - Docker, Vagrant (optional), K8s (optional)
