Escape is an API Security Company. APIs are the cornerstone of data exchanges on the Internet and the ideal entry point for hackers. Escape develops a unique Artificial Intelligence that allows organizations to find and fix security issues in APIs before it's too late. Thousands of developers of major organizations such as Société Générale, Neo4J and Sorare already use its SaaS platform.
Founded in 2020, it has successfully positioned itself as one of the most promising European cybersecurity start-ups winning the Grand Défi Cyber Prize delivered by the French Government and the ANSSI. In 2023, the start-up joined the Y Combinator accelerator, which fostered its entry into the international competition game as a major security provider.
The founders graduated from Polytechnique & HEC (CTO) and ENSTA & HEC (CEO). Both finished their studies in the United States at UC Berkeley. What if you were a White Hat hacker? Exciting, isn’t it? In this role, you will be expected to leverage your cybersecurity and penetration testing skills to enhance our unique automated web pentesting artificial intelligence, contributing to developing advanced offensive security tools and strategies. To that end, you will perform cyber-attacks and try to find vulnerabilities in real-life customers.
Responsibilities
- You will develop and implement complex exploits in Python or Go, capitalizing on our unique feedback-driven API exploration algorithm.
- You will Identify and create innovative attack patterns for offensive web security.
- You will constantly test developed exploits and attack patterns against bug bounties and real-life customer applications to ensure their effectiveness.
- You will collaborate closely with our engineering team to integrate newly developed attack patterns and exploits into our solutions.
- You will stay informed about the latest pentesting techniques and vulnerabilities to drive continuous innovation.
- You will document findings and write detailed reports on attack methods, vulnerabilities discovered, and recommendations for remediation.
- You will research the intended system target via both open-source and dark-web channels.
- You will scan the intended system by exploiting software, and business logic vulnerabilities, using input and output manipulations, and bypassing existing security controls such;
- You will recommend remediation actions by outlining a defense-in-depth approach.
Qualifications
Experience
- You are involved in a Master's Degree in Cybersecurity
- You have already performed penetration testing and participated into CTFs
- You are always curious about learning new penetration testing techniques and exploiting new vulnerabilities
- You have a strong experience with Python 3
- You have some knowledge of API design and development

- You are a self-starter and able to take initiative
- Already have work experience
- Fluent in both French and English.
