About the role:
Binks is looking for a Content Writer — a tour guide if you will — who will shine a light to help our audience find us, the online tailor they’ve been looking for. Like most memorable tour guides, you’ll be vivid in your descriptions, cheeky in your tone, and evocative enough to make readers feel a certain kind of emotion.
You’ll report to our Head of Content and work with them to make each of our content touchpoints a brand case study in themselves. If this sounds up your alley, we’d love to have you on our team.
Binks is based out of Bengaluru; this role is remote.
What you’ll do:
- Conceptualise and write short-form and long-form content for core brand platforms such as social media, newsletters, website, GMB and blog
- Craft platform-appropriate content, in tune with the tone of voice guidelines set for them
- Work with our Head of Content in driving memorable creative campaigns and IPs
- Chalk out blog calendars for freelance content writers; share pointed feedback and edit their work (if need be)
- Work with our Video Producer to sharpen concept notes, scripts
- Be a true-blue brand custodian; ensure all customer-facing communication is in sync with the brand ToV
- Collaborate with our SEO Manager to make our website content more Google-friendly
You have:
- 1-2 years of experience in an ad agency or an e-commerce startup
- A writing portfolio you’re proud of (your own blog, Notion page, an Instagram handle, or any other passion -project works)
- A bachelor’s degree in literature, mass communication or a related course (optional)
- Basic editing skills to fix messy style issues, typos and misspellings
- The ability to understand data and insights to improve content across platforms
