Content Strategist

This position is Full-Time and Remote within the US.

Our new Content Strategist joins at an exciting juncture in HackerRank’s growth and will play a leading role in shaping the direction of our overall content and thought leadership efforts. The Content Strategist will drive the research, development, and execution of key content and thought leadership programs that solidify the company’s position as the authority on developer skills.

We’re looking for an analytically curious storyteller with strong editorial judgment to help take our content to the next level. The ideal candidate is an exceptional researcher who’s as comfortable playing with data as they are storyboarding a soon-to-be viral report. This is a brand new position that will report directly to our Director of Marketing Communications.

You will be working on: Build on our research-driven thought leadership strategy across a number of channels and formats to fortify HackerRank’s authority in the HR tech space Develop strategy, creative, and campaign briefs to drive our proprietary data-driven reports, like our marquee “2022 Developer Skills Report” Develop and steer new proprietary reports, including survey design/administration and data analysis Establish relationships/workflows to consistently unearth and package proprietary, product-based data and insights Partner cross-functionally to coordinate, produce, and distribute content that drives earned media coverage, secures speaking engagements, and builds relationships with leading analysts Monitor and report on changes and trends in the labor market, with a key focus on technology, programming, tech recruiting, and/or the future of work Cross-functional content calendar development and support Write, edit, and project manage content as assigned

We are looking for: At least 7 years of B2B/SaaS content development and strategy experience in the field of technology, programming, tech recruiting, and/or the future of work At least 5 years of experience in content production, including researching, writing, sourcing, and interviewing senior-level leaders and/or industry experts At least 3 years of quantitative research experience in the fields above, with a focus on survey design, data collection, and synthesis of data and research. Familiarity with data modeling and analysis, including tools like SQL, R, or Python, a plus A rich portfolio of digital work, spanning large reports, white papers, corporate blogs, news/media commentary, webinars, speaking engagements, and more Intellectually curious with an analytical ethos, with the ability to see how key research/findings fit within larger industry contexts

Nice to have (optional): Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, English, information management, or similar is nice, but not required Experience with data visualization tools a plus Experience with creative/art direction a plus Experience designing and/or leading training programs on technical topics a plus
