👀 What We're Seeking
We’re looking for a versatile and insightful chemical data analyst to spearhead the data collection and aggregation efforts for our web-based application. Our app allows customers to record R&D data and query our AI models to simulate lab experiments and create entire optimized chemical formulas. You will work directly with the founders and a small team of engineers and designers, and as a very early hire you will have a tremendous say and impact on the direction and prospects of our company.
🧑💻 What You'll Be Doing
Gaining a deep understanding of the data we collect and developing methods to combine and utilize the data to improve our AI platform
Leading the effort to digitize and extract structured data from chemical ingredient documentation (e.g., technical data sheets, product dossiers, safety documents, etc.)
Contributing to chemical formulation modeling heuristics and feature extraction
Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code in an agile environment (Python, SQL, R, etc.)
Taking on an entrepreneurial mentality to independently identify and pursue opportunities for the organization
🎨 Your Existing Skills
You have high levels of self-awareness and empathy combined with a strong work ethic
You are a curious person with a strong desire to grow. You are passionate about solving complex problems in a rapidly changing environment and have an interest in keeping up with emerging technologies
Experience creating and using analytical scripts to perform data analysis (Python, SQL, R)
You are highly self-directed and resourceful, with experience working on collaborative teams and translating technical language and concepts to non-technical people
Have experience bringing disparate data sources together in order to create new insights into the business
A chemistry / formulation / material science background
😍 Bonus points
You have experience or interest in AI, enterprise SaaS, or an end market in which we operate (e.g., chemicals, industries selling process manufactured goods such as beauty)
You have been involved in the R&D process for formulating chemical products
You have experience interfacing and collaborating with B2B clients and have a desire to continue doing so
