About Us

Probably Genetic provides severely ill patients with genetic tests at no cost through sponsored testing programs, with the goal of helping patients access diagnoses, clinical trials, and treatments earlier in their diagnostic journeys. We find patients online using our proprietary machine learning platform and test them for free with our telemedicine genetic testing service. Backed by Y Combinator, Khosla Ventures and TenOneTen, Probably Genetic’s mission is to diagnose 200 million rare disease patients worldwide.

What We're Looking For

We are expanding our drug developer partnerships and we are looking for a self starter who is driven and quick to learn to help us grow our business development pipeline. Specifically, you will have the following responsibilities:

-Work closely with the VP of business development to plan and implement our business development strategy and objectives, including revenue targets -Conduct market research to extract insights that support the creation of proposals and pitch decks -Develop in-depth knowledge of Probably Genetic’s offerings to support the identification of profitable business opportunities -Leverage existing industry knowledge to propose and develop relationships with executives and stakeholders at potential client organizations, including key pharma and biotech players in addition to patient advocacy foundations within the rare disease space -Demonstrate a broad comprehension of relevant industry needs, market trends, challenges, major players, relevant products, and technologies in rare disease patient identification Support the achievement of core business development growth metrics, opportunity identification, and partnership pipeline growth -Contribute to strategic diligence on potential partnership opportunities, ensuring strategic and performance-related alignment -Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams at PG, including operations and product

This is a fully remote / full-time position that begins immediately.

Qualifications

A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in business development, ideally for a company selling into the biotech space, and/or 2 years of healthcare/biotech consulting experience
