As our first analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making across the company. Reporting to our Head of Operations, this person will connect, organize, and analyze our data and processes in order to provide actionable insights, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive those recommendations forward. We’re looking for someone who loves problem-solving, creating order out of chaos, and finding better, more efficient ways of doing things.
Responsibilities include

Operations management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and document existing business processes. Evaluate ways to increase the efficiency of internal data flows and centralize sources of truth. Troubleshoot operational issues, Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Propose and implement solutions to streamline operations.

Project management: Own standalone projects and workstreams that ensure the successful day-to-day operations of the company. These may, as examples, include maintaining the company’s financial model, developing new employee SOPs, or running our referral program.

Performance tracking: Design, build, and maintain dashboards to provide real-time visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the success and effectiveness of business processes. Monitor and report on KPIs regularly to identify areas of improvement and present findings and recommendations to the team.

Data analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources to uncover insights and trends.

Product and market research: Analyze customer behavior and preferences to support marketing and product development efforts. Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for business growth.

Strategy development: Collaborate with leadership to define the company's strategic goals and objectives. Support strategic decision-making by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
Requirements

2+ years of experience in an analytical role at a high-performance work environment (e.g., finance, consulting, or a high-growth, venture-backed startup)

Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement recommended solutions.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with changing priorities. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice to Have But Not Required

Technical familiarity with no-code tools (e.g. Integromat/Make, Zapier)

Domain experience in K-12 education, consumer or subscription products

Proficiency in statistical analysis, data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, MixPanel)
