EXO Freight is a logistics tech startup that is on a mission to build a technology platform to serve the open deck freight market. We're building a proprietary digital managed marketplace that connects shippers with open deck carriers. We are a team of technology and logistics entrepreneurs solving the open deck freight market.
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our team. The Business Analyst provides analysis to support the documentation, development, and maintenance of reports for internal and external teams. This individual will work with engineers and business teams to document business rules/requirements, maintain/enhance existing systems, build new applications, brainstorm fixes and solutions, create features and user stories, and support the development team in implementation.
Your insight into customer needs combined with a natural curiosity, learning mindset and business acumen will be required to ensure that we build features and functionality that solve big problems. You will be part of the energized and committed organization, partnering closely with the Business and Engineering leadership team.
An Analyst will be very detailed, self-motivated, results oriented, and an excellent communicator. Our employees are at the core of our business which means having a partnership mentality as a trusted advisor to guide and collaborate with multi-functional teams will be significant in this role. You will harmonize with various groups, ensure data is accurate and current in multiple systems, define and document business processes and requirements. You will join a team that searches, completes and performs daily control of the quantity and quality of data.
What You'll Do
In This Role, You Will:
Leverage a blend of data analysis, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving to uncover opportunities, propose solutions, and measure success in driving growth and engagement with our customers, with the potential to make a major impact on our business.
Use data to identify growth loops and opportunities to better connect sales representatives with customers
Design and build out advanced reporting for teams and monitor key metrics such as CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), and ROI (Return on Investment), as well as proactively deliver insights, respond to ad hoc requests, and level up stakeholders’ data fluency and self-sufficiency in our analytics tools
Collaborating with other teams to develop a more flexible, nuanced, and robust implementation of reporting
Collaborate with our executive team on advanced analyses such as executive briefs and quarterly board reports
Contribute to other initiatives to set the right objectives, assess revenue potential, and help make us more efficient as an organization
Understand changes and critical dependencies
Participate in cross-functional change teams for assigned programs
Help build change strategies, plans and supporting materials
Help identify and analyze people-centered impacts and risks
Drive delivery of change management plans and activities
Monitor and report progress to achieve change adoption
Strong project management skills, including the ability to think and lead complex projects simultaneously.

Developing and managing relationships with multiple internal teams.
Perform key components of remote implementations of the Tableau reports. Components may include installation, configuration, training, report writing, data migration and general support.
Design and configure components of the solution following best practices
Participate and supervise the implementation during each step
Perform gap analyses
Understand customers process requirements and assist the team in translating those requirements into functional specifications for custom development and functional extension.
About You
Experience with the following softwares required: Tableau, SQL, Big Query, Metabase, Salesforce Data Visualization and PostgreSQL
Experience writing Python preferred
2+ years of troubleshooting/resolving issues through multiple systems (i.e. Salesforce, Tableau, Big Query etc.)
2+ years of Salesforce experience (within account contact and cases, agreements) is highly preferred
2+ years of providing support to internal/external stakeholders
Ability to manage independent, ongoing projects in addition to daily caseloads, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Previous experience supporting operations-related initiatives within a Customer Sales Team a plus
Proficient in Google Suites
Detail oriented, analytical approach
Ability to work independently, with general direction and mentorship
Ability to interpret, analyze, and resolve operational issues including addressing questions, and updating systems
Understand key revenue cycle metrics and performance indicators with the ability to provide reporting of operational and financial performance
Able to communicate effectively (written and verbal) findings of analyses and audits to support operation and financial decisions
Gather data from Salesforce and Tableau to support performance measurement baselining and trending to assist with the development of service level targeting
Complete Ad-hoc data request on an as needed to basis to support new customer engagement initiative across all pillars of an engagement
Develop and support interim service level performance reporting for new customer engagements
Assist team leaders with special projects and priority analysis assignments
Effective at working at both a data detail level and a strategic thinking level
Project responsibilities may include:
Analyzing large data sets and identifying and interpreting patterns and trends in the data
Managing multiple customer-related priorities concurrently and addressing issues accordingly
Communicating project status regularly with manager
Strong understanding of software development processes
Analytical mind and excellent communication skills
