About the Job

The Brand Design Manager will be the champion of the imgix brand identity. You will embark on a rewarding career creating visual media for a leader in visual media technology. You will have the autonomy, resources, and support to be an effective design leader.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will produce and oversee marketing design needs while upholding our brand identity. You are an expert in visual storytelling, and you love creating designs that resonate with the target audience. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, expertly and rapidly moving between the worlds of image, video, and occasionally print and other physical assets. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean, artful design and possess superior visual design skills with an in-depth knowledge of graphic design, styles, and layout techniques. You have experience executing marketing designs from conception to production.

This position can be based in our San Francisco office or remote (Western U.S. only), with the expectation to work onsite a minimum of five business days per month.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce assets for websites, emails, advertising, presentations, events, sale enablement, print, and outdoor marketing
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to production
  • Document, update, and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
  • Audit, edit, and maintain marketing templates, style guides, pattern libraries, and design specs
  • Project-manage various tasks in an organized, transparent, and efficient manner
  • Present designs and key deliverables to stakeholders
  • Maintain and organize the design team’s creative assets
  • Contribute design ideas to improve the overall go-to-market effort
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Product Design to ensure appropriate design alignment between go-to-market assets and the product UI
  • Conduct semi-annual design audits and gather market intelligence on direct competitors and other key players in the front-end dev space
  • Stay up-to-speed with design trends. Incorporate design best practices wherever suitable

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant experience creating exceptional marketing designs
  • 3+ years working in the SaaS software space
  • Excellent graphic and visual design skills
  • Deep knowledge of brand design patterns and standards
  • Capable of grabbing attention, creating intrigue and compelling action through effective visual storytelling
  • Loves working in a collaborative, agile environment
  • Organized, punctual, and self-starting
  • Capable of leading, coaching, and managing a team of designers and contract designers
  • Empathetic to customers and users. Curious about their business needs and challenges
  • Experience collaborating with marketers and front-end developers
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
