OVERVIEW
Modern Treasury is hiring for the Bank Channel Development team to join our Bank Partnerships organization. In this role you will build a scalable system that increases deal flow and drives deals to close between our sales team and our bank partners. You will develop deep relationships with Bank Relationship Managers, Payment Specialists and Advisors, Treasury teams, and other relevant bank teams. Through these relationships, you will develop an understanding of their goals, target customers, capabilities and internal organization with the objective of unlocking referrals to and from banks. We currently have over fifteen bank partners including Silicon Valley Bank, JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, and First Republic Bank. See all of our bank partners here
We are looking for someone who understands how channel partnerships can be a source of growth both for banks and Modern Treasury and who understands how to creatively run growth experiments and distill complex workflows across multiple stakeholders into simple, repeatable processes. Experience selling within or to banks is beneficial.
Banks are a key distribution channel for Modern Treasury. You will be essential to our bank partners' understanding of our value to them and their customers, making Modern Treasury top of mind for their business development teams and driving referrals.
We are looking for an individual with the winning mix of relationship building and attention to detail; natural collaborators with experience building fruitful, long term relationships; experience owning and managing multiple concurrent relationships with internal and external partners; demonstrated ability to communicate with and present to a diverse set of technical, sales and executive teams; willingness to work on hands on day-to-day management of partner relationships; ability to flourish in a fast-paced startup environment; and wholehearted empathy for banks, our customers and their users.

WEEK BY WEEK
During your first week you will:

Onboard with our team

Develop an understanding of our customers and our products

Read our favorite industry primers

Build an understanding of our brand positioning, sales process, and customer stories

Build an understanding of how we integrate with banks, the sales process, and how banks benefit from Modern Treasury.
During your first six weeks you will:

Get introduced to our bank partners and key business development contacts

Map out the current referral process with our premier bank partners and what types of clients fit which banks

Write your first blog post

Run first training to bank sales teams on the value that Modern Treasury brings to them and their customers

Develop a regular cadence of engaging with business development teams at each bank partner

Shepherd your first customer referrals from banks
During your first six months you will:

Develop content strategy focused on banks (case studies, why Modern Treasury, landing pages, etc).

Develop training for the Modern Treasury sales teams on what banks look for in a referral

Develop bank partnership playbook for setting up an efficient and effective referral process

Keep learning! Brainstorm and bring to life new systems for faster sales cycles, how to unlock more referrals from banks, and how to speed the underwriting cycle at banks. Some examples of initiatives are: Information sharing systems between Modern Treasury and banks; growth experiments to move bankers from engaged to referrers; implement a shorter testing period for all MT customers at a given bank that enables joint customers to go live faster.
REQUIREMENTS

3-5 years of experience in B2B enterprise sales, consulting, investing or business development roles.
