The Role

Moxion is looking for our first Accounting Manager - someone ambitious and highly motivated with a passion for corporate accounting to own and manage our day to day accounting operations. Our founding Accounting Manager will supervise the accounting staff, manage day to day operations, oversee the month end close process and evaluate the teams performance, always looking for areas of improvement.

What you'll do:

• Manage day to day accounting operations, including: oversee accounting staff, accounts payable & accounts receivable, timely month end close activities, treasury activities, capital assets and ERP activities
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, implement accounting principle changes as necessary
• Improve systems and procedures; initiate corrective actions and develop protocols for improvement
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Track, monitor and report operational OKRs
• Work directly with outside accountants
• Further development of ERP and related accounting software

Skills to be successful:

• 7+ year relevant work experience
• Experience managing accounting operations; including AP, AR & Month End Close
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience developing, implementing and managing accounting policies and controls
• Strong understanding of accounting for Inventory and fixed assets
• Proficient in ERP and Accounting software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication skills

Shift and Compensation Details:

• Shift: 1st
• Comp Range: $130k - $140k

Pay Equity

Moxion is committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for substantially similar work. Compensation displayed is a range, maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements.  We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience.  Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area, if you live outside that region, the range is subject to change. 

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the range provided above. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
