Hi, I am Chetan - cofounder & CPO of Weekday. Below is a job description of a very important role for me.
TLDR: We have 100+ companies looking to hire engineers. I am looking for an account manager who can handle the hiring needs of 20+ of them. You will be a great fit if you are deeply analytical and have a strong sales attitude.
Compensation: INR 5 - 13 LPA (based on seniority)
Location: In- office in Indiranagar
At Weekday (YC W21), we are building the next frontier in hiring. We believe recommendations and referrals are the best way to find the best engineers, but that doesn't scale as one would have only a limited network.
We are backed by Y-Combinator and several other leading investors.
We are scaling referrals by building a community of scouts (who are top software engineer themselves) who keep recommending us the best engineers and we help them find the best suited opportunities in top startups.
We are on a mission to democratise recruiting by giving that power to everyone. We enable anyone to become a scout or "mini-recruiter" by leveraging their social connections.
More about the problem we solve and how we do it:
The problem we solve is that - even if I ask you right now that, "Do you know good engineer you would recommend?". Chances are that you won't have a name on the top of your head and you don't want to spam all your friends in order to find it out.
We sync your LinkedIn connections, match you to the right specific job, and then give you a shortlist of people to recommend. You can only recommend 10. If any of them get hired by our partner startups, you make $1500.
Everyone has highly useful information in their head around best people they have worked with or highest reputed people in their college. We help organise that information and also give people a chance to earn financial rewards while doing that.

What your role would be? We have a bunch of partner companies who look to hire the best tech talent via us and your role would be to help them find the best candidates (Please note that this is not an internal hiring role but hiring for partner companies).

Someone who is comfortable with ambiguity and changing role/environment
Wants to get a sense of how building an early stage startup would look like. You would get a sneak-peak into almost every possible function at a HR tech startup.
Doesn't mind doing the occasional grunt work as well as is sharp enough to quickly pick up the work usually meant for a highly specialised role. Should be able to pick up new technologies/products quickly.
Who would be not be a fit?
This would be an execution driven role. So if you are looking for a pure strategy role, this might not be the best fit
