Computer Vision AI / Machine Learning Intern

What you’ll be doing

• Help create robust evaluation and training data sets to use in our models
• Lots of trial and error with testing existing computer vision models on our data sets
• Decide on the best cutting edge models to use to successfully rank our results
• Working closely with the tech team, including our data science advisor, Brad Klingenberg (Stanford PhD & former Chief Algorithms Officer at Stitch Fix)

Minimum requirements for the role:

• MS or PhD candidate in engineering or a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.)
• Hands-on experience training and evaluating modern computer vision algorithms in Python (using Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
• Familiarity managing machine learning code in GitHub

An ideal candidate also has:

• Deep experience with image classification and similarity models
• Familiarity with AWS Textract and OCR
• Desire to work at an early startup and make a huge impact

If you join CAPSULE, you’ll be one of the first employees and be instrumental in helping us build our first version of our own proprietary e-commerce product ranking system. We are currently in a closed beta and planning a public launch next year.
