At Factored, we're building one of the last missing pieces of modern commerce infrastructure: a platform for consumer brands to manage their quality control inspections.

Factored was started by a team of software engineers, data scientists, and supply chain managers - all focused on one goal: enable entrepreneurs to bring their products to market faster, simpler, and cheaper. We worry about managing brands’ quality control so they don't have to. We aim to redefine how quality control is managed, and need strong engineers to make it happen.

As a member of the engineering team at Factored, you will be directly impacting our platform and product. You will also work collaboratively with fellow engineers, product management, and key stakeholders. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will help set the stage for future engineering team members as we expand throughout the next year.

Our team is composed of 10 folks across our US, Europe, and Hong Kong offices. We've raised more than $5 million to date from an incredible team of investors and operators like Amity Ventures, Dynamo Ventures, and Y-Combinator.

What We’re Looking For:

Our ideal candidate is someone who has the following qualities:

• Is a relationship builder, engineering strategist, and creative problem solver and leader
• Has a positive attitude, self motivated, coachable, go-getter drive with the ability to be autonomous
• Is driven by curiosity and has an interest in in learning new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies to grow professionally, and also personally
• Has the willingness and propensity to become a Tech Lead
• Has 7+ years of designing and implementing scalable web applications and REST APIs
• Identifies bottlenecks and comes up with creative solutions
• Has B2B SaaS experience, manufacturing/distribution platform experience highly preferred
• Is based in the United States and legally about to work in the US
• Has the ability to work US EST hours

The Job:

We’re looking to bring on a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help Factored Quality navigate its next stage of growth.

Core categories of responsibilities for this role will be to serve as point for:

• Writing clean self-documenting back-end code in Elixir/Phoenix, and front-end code in Typescript
• Experience working with SQL
• Experience writing unit tests and integration tests
• Developing and integrating with REST APIs
• Owning a feature from end-to-end (from DOM elements to database models)
• Being a product-oriented engineer who understands the critical balance between customers’ needs, time to delivery, and maintaining clean architecture/minimizing tech debt
• Able to perform code reviews
• Able to learn from and mentor fellow engineers

Working Hours:

Because our team is global, there are meetings that are scheduled outside of traditional 9-5 working hours. That being said, we trust all team members to manage their own schedules and wellbeing, and to take appropriate measures to take care of themselves.
