We are looking for rockstar engineers to join us in building Fizz from the ground up. You'll be shaping the future of our company and the future of how young adults establish their credit.
This role is ideal for engineers invigorated by solving difficult problems and by building software with a large impact. You’ll be one of the first engineers at an early-stage startup, and should be excited to apply your analytical, hacker mindset towards problems of all types.
What You Will Work On
As an Engineer at Fizz, you'll have a direct impact on every aspect of our Fintech application, from designing backend and database architecture, all the way through to customer-facing user interface implementation. You'll be trusted to independently build new features entirely from scratch, while maintaining the flexibility to help relieve bottlenecks in different areas of the product when needed.
Specifically you will contribute to every part of our codebase - helping to design core architecture, and building our App utilizing third-party payment, card issuance, KYC, AML and data APIs. You will on a regular interval unite with the entire team to decide what to build next and take full ownership of building features.
To thrive in this role you have
- 4+ years of real-world experience developing or implementing software.
- Diligence to write clean, tested, and documented code
- Enthusiasm for product ownership, critical thinking, and proactive collaboration. You like to teach and you love to learn.
- Self-starter who likes to take initiative and get's down what is needed.
- You are driven and derive a sense of purpose from building something that matters.
Bonus Points for any of
- Experience with Fintech APIs, AML, and KYC vendors
- Experience with Anti fraught strategies
- Experience in mobile development in flutter, or native iOS and Android
- Experience with MongoDB, Node.Js, Typescript, Heroku
- Experience with mobile app development
