Automation Developer

We are looking for an experienced tools developer who will lead the design and implementation of performance testing tools used by performance testers across the company. As part of this role, you will be responsible for developing custom as well as extending existing tools, leading product selection, and coming up with a solution. Experience with at least one enterprise language and Linux/UNIX Operating system is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of custom/packaged tools for supporting e2e and service-level performance testing capabilities
• Leading requirements gathering, conceptualizing solutions, followed by clearly documented design and architecture proposals
• Delivering high-quality software that meets or exceeds user requirements
• Leading the overall thought process of solutions that you will build
• Research industry best practices, educate and challenge users, and propose solutions
• Evaluate the marketplace for available tools and integrations and incorporate them into your solutions
• The candidate must have strong collaboration and communication skills to be able to present the eventual solution and architecture to end-users. Creation and delivery of knowledge sharing presentations or technical training that helps end-users understand and leverage the system's capabilities is a big plus

Qualifications

• 7 years + of professional work experience is required.
• One or more development languages (Python, Go, Java, C++, etc.)
• Cloud-native application development principles, containerization
• Experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitOps) and software release processes
• Cloud and virtualization technologies (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, VMware)
• Additional Qualifications
• Long-term strategic thinking. Ability to see pitfalls and avoid them without overthinking the problem.
• Passionate about learning new technologies
• Having a “tools over toil” attitude
• Experience with performance tools like Spirent, Jmeter, Gatling, Trex, k6
• Experience deploying applications in public clouds
• Experience with Observability Tools (Prometheus, InfluxDB, ElasticSearch, Loki)
• Experience with visualization tools like Grafana
• Comfortable with Agile software development
