We are looking for a software engineer who loves to solve problems, add-value to the company and be responsible for:
Driving the architecture of a AI-based load and route optimisation platform, considering the team and the future product roadmap.
Driving and upholding high engineering standards, bringing consistency to the codebases you encounter and ensuring software is adequately reviewed, tested, and integrated.
Designing and developing production-ready APIs (REST and GraphQL) and algorithms at scale
Designing, developing, processing and analysing data collections and processing from diverse sources, large scale structured and unstructured data
Building new features for internal and external users, and refactoring existing ones to make them better
Driving optimisation, testing and tooling to improve quality of solutions
Automating processes by utilising machine learning
Using AI to empower the company with novel capabilities
You possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
You have at least 3 years of experience in designing and developing production-ready APIs and scalable backend applications.
You possess demonstrated expertise working with open-source data analysis platforms, including but not limited to: Google ORTools, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib, TensorFlow, Jupyter and other Python data tools like Spark (PySpark), HDFS, Kafka and other high-volume data tools.
Proficiency with microservices architecture, containerization and orchestration is required.
Having knowledge of optimization techniques, multiprocessing design principles and TDD using Python is a plus.
Having experience with NoSQL and streaming platforms, e.g. Kafka, MongoDB, Neo4j; advanced analytics and modern machine learning techniques and cloud native services such as Dataflow & BigQuery will be an added advantage
