Project execution and delivery: manage teams for deal advisory, due diligence, construction monitoring and consulting projects with full responsibility for the financial performance of the engagements.
Be the key driver to ensure timely project completion.
Lead reports writing.
Lead commercial effort and manage client relationships.
Supervise Project teams.
Consult with clients to identify needs and goals for each assignment.
Develop and maintain strong internal and external networks.
Have clear understanding of the design and construction process and the Company’s responsibilities.
Monitor the progress of construction work relative to scope, quality, budget, schedule, risks and resources.
Take lead and report to Project Director for project planning, managing and controlling the execution of multi-disciplinary projects from inception to handover with high quality, within schedule and budget
Liaise with clients, government authorities and project stakeholders. Manage design consultants and contractors for project success
Competency in all aspects of project management services including Project Execution, Project Control, Programme & Scheduling, Design Management, Contract Administration, Cost Management, Risk Management, Value Management, Stakeholders Management, Procurement Strategy, Quality Management, Contract Strategy and Change Management.
Act as Client’s Representative as necessary
The role and areas of activity required:
Taking and developing project briefs
Developing project budgets
Establishing and managing project financials and cash flow
Establishing project teams
Managing the complete design, tender, construction, commissioning, handover and defects rectification process
Management of project stakeholders and client team
Preparing, running and managing the tendering and procurement of construction contracts, including existing frameworks
Developing, adhering to and updating project programs
Chair and minute project progress and design team meetings
Prepare monthly project client reports
Liaise with design team lead designer to ensure design progress and quality matches client expectations
Liaise with other specialists and internal / external design teams to ensure best practice and knowledge transfer
Ensure all project information is collated and filed for audit purposes
Act as the main point of contact for all customer liaison with colleagues, keeping them up to date of projects and requirements of their contractors
4-year degree in engineering/architecture or related construction field, mechanical engineering focus highly preferred.
8+ years' related work experience, with at least 3 years in a project management role directly responsible for all aspects of construction, engineering, or self-perform installation projects, with proven track record of successful completion of contract deliverables
4+ years' experience working on construction installations/projects, preferably in an aviation environment
PMP and/or CCM highly preferred
Experience working on Federal Government construction projects highly preferred
Knowledgeable on subcontract management, including project controls, configuration management, risk management, schedule and cost control
Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required
Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by Federal Authorities will be performed.
