Job Details

We are seeking an ambitious and results-oriented candidate with proven experience in developing market strategies and executing commercial plans for the molecular diagnostic market for one of our portfolio companies. This position will be responsible for leading the go-to-market planning and commercial launch of miRNA research and clinical diagnostic products.

Primary responsibilities include:
• Develop strategic market plans for miRNA research and clinical diagnostic products based on strong understanding of customer needs, market and internal dynamics. Make recommendations on the application/disease areas, clinical and commercial partners, and regional market needs.
• Develop business relationship and close deals with key cancer centers, tertiary clinical institutions, commercial diagnostic labs and healthcare screening providers to support the launch and adoption of miRNA research and clinical diagnostic products
• Develop and manage relationships with senior management of key accounts
• Develop copy and creative content for clinical markets, appropriately positioning miRNA solutions for research or in vitro diagnostic use within compliance guidelines, while conveying strong value propositions and clear product differentiation
• Develop marketing programs to provide localized awareness, education and lead to customer adoption of miRNA research and clinical diagnostic products
• Gather ongoing customer feedback on unmet needs and requirements to inform business strategy and product roadmap
• Works with applications group and R&D to define customer and market requirements for applications/assays
• Acts as liaison with sales specialists and global field team to facilitate introduction, sale and support of miRNA research and clinical diagnostic products

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the field of life sciences, medicine or business
• More than 5 years of proven hands-on experience in business development, marketing and/or sales roles of increasing scope and responsibility in the genomics, molecular biology, or molecular diagnostic arenas
• Knowledge of /familiarity with qPCR assays and in vitro diagnostic tests
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with varied personalities, including different levels within and outside of the organization
• Strong personal drive and motivation to reach new objectives and drive change
• Effective at driving cross-team collaboration and building consensus
• Up to 50% travel, domestic and international, required
