MyPerintis, a non-government organization (NGO) that promotes Youth Empowerment in Malaysia, celebrated it's 3rd year anniversary yesterday together with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Y.A.B Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad.
The anniversary, hosted in the form of an appreciation dinner, was officiated by the Prime Minister, who is also the organization's patron.
The dinner was attended by more than 600 representatives from partners, corporates, non-government organizations, and friends.
MyPerintis today has reached out to more than 70,000 activated youths through over 20 different empowerment initiatives.
The initiatives focus on education, employability, entrepreneurship, arts & culture, and volunteerism.
The mission is to inspire youth to rise above their challenges, and to dare them to explore their fullest potential to create an impact in the world as productive citizens of Malaysia.
“For many years, I have advocates that leaders of today not only for tomorrow. The bodies, built on noble ideals, bind members to the sense of camaraderie, loyalty, selflessness, honesty and trustworthiness and other good values that will take the youths a long way into their adult life”, mentioned Founding President of MyPerintis, Dato’ Lawrence Low.
In conjunction with the event, MyPerintis has also launched Vertebrata, an online youth community platform focused on solidifying the network of 70,000 the youths, members and connections.
Vertebrata will allow users to express their expert opinions and ideas while increasing the cross-community awareness and collaboration through youth services. It will also provide consistent exposure and interaction for discussion and organization’s activities across social platforms.
