In the coming weeks, BEAM will soon be allowing people to list and sell services directly via the website and mobile application.
Dubbed the 'Services Marketplace', the new addition is focused on allowing freelancers and small/medium enterprises (SMEs) to list and sell their services online without the need to set up any websites, register for payment gateways, or learn a new programming language.
Users will also be able to easily discover and search for creative, business, and professional services via the app and website in just a few taps.
On top of the ability to list services, BEAM will also provide users with tools to handle payments/refunds, manage customers/fans, and create rich content to engage visitors to drive leads and conversions.
And if that isn't sufficient, service providers can also further increase their sales by turning on 'automated promotions', allowing the BEAM platform to automatically promote the listings via a referral/profit-sharing model.
The move of introducing the services marketplace is focused on allowing more SMEs to make the shift to the digital and mobile space effortlessly without the need to set up payment gateways, websites, and so forth.
"Although it has been over 20 years since we've been living in the 'internet era', many traditional businesses have yet to make the shift in selling their services online. We hope to enable more businesses to do so via this new solution.", mentioned Kenneth Ho, CEO of BEAM
Currently users can list services under the following 7 categories:
Selling services will be gradually rolled out over the next few weeks across Malaysia and Singapore, then subsequently in India, the US, followed by the rest of the world.
To get started with listing your services, visit the service submission page.
* Listing services are free of charge.
* A 3% gateway fee is charged for every successful transaction
