Most Asean markets fall as US$ carry trade unwinds
SINGAPORE: Most Southeast Asian stock markets fell on Thursday as a strong dollar and climbing U.S. treasury yields saw investors unwinding greenback-denominated carry trades, while Indonesia slipped for a fifth straight session to levels unseen since October.
Data is indicating that decentralized applications – dApps, for short – hemorrhage users soon after interest peaks, with most users leaving not long after launch. The latest issue of the Diar report shows that the largest seven dApp platforms by ICO funding, capital raised, have lost 74 percent of their active users, on average, from their all time highs. The top dApps, ranked by peak user count, included the popular Cryptokitties, which has seen a 96 percent drop in user numbers since its all time high of 14,194.
